Roll Call Present: 7- Councilor Babrowski, Councilor Blonna, Councilor Folley, Vice-Chair Grifoni, Councilor Irwin, Councilor Rola and Chair Brechnitz (Note: Chair Brechnitz participated in Roll Call via Zoom teleconference connection) Also Present Michael McNees, City Manager Casey Lucius, Assistant City Manager Mike Sheffield, City Clerk Tracy Frazzano, Police Chief Chris Byrne, Fire Chief Jennifer Pierce, Fire Marshall Lina Upham, Purchasing & Risk Manager Martin Luna, Video/Broadcast Technician Citizens and Visitors 2a. MOTION TO ALLOW FOR REMOTE PARTICIPATION MOTION by Vice-Chair Grifoni to allow Chair Brechnitz to participate and vote on all matters coming before the Council at this Special-Called Meeting. MOTION CARRIED BY THE FOLLOWING VOICE VOTE: Yes: 6- Councilor Babrowski, Councilor Blonna, Councilor Folley, Vice-Chair Grifoni, Councilor Irwin and Councilor Rola 3. Business ID 22-2339 Review and Approval of Contract with Pyrotecnico for 4th of July Fireworks City Manager Mike McNees outlined the difficulties experienced by the originally-contracted fireworks provider, and he outlined the alternative arrangements that could be pursued with an alternative provider to successfully execute a July 4th Fireworks Celebration on Marco Island. No members of the public came forward to offer comment. MOTION by Councilor Blonna, seconded by Councilor Folley, Authorizing the City Manager to Execute an Agreement with Pyrotecnico Fireworks, Inc. for the City of Marco Island Fourth of July, 2022 Fireworks Display in the Amount of $65,000.00, be Approved. MOTION CARRIED BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: Yes: 7- Councilor Babrowski, Councilor Blonna, Councilor Folley, Vice-Chair Grifoni, Councilor Irwin, Councilor Rola and Chair Brechnitz 4.
