(4) APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA MOTION by Member Richards to add Food Forest to Item 9b. as amended, seconded by Member Minning, that this Agenda be approved. City Council Report - October 2018 - Samantha Malloy Ms Malloy stated J.W. Marriott is charged for week/weekends for guest parking at Farmers Market parking lot. ID 18-569 City Council October 2018 CM Report Attachments: October 2018 City Council Monthly Report.pdf (7) PUBLIC COMMENT (TIME CERTAIN 3:30 P.M.) 3:44 p.m. Ms. Benarroch, Affordable Landscaping stated to remember to make less maintenance at Veterans Community Park for City by keeping more green space. (8) PRESENTATIONS - None (9) OLD BUSINESS a. Veterans' Community Park Update Chair Portu gave presentation to City Council last evening incorporating modifications for Option 2. Draft Master Plan will be presented by Kimley-Horn to City Council at December meeting. Q & A with committee on modifications: Location for Christmas Tree, Move restroom to park entrance Research sound for Band Shell Highlight waterfront, provide boardwalk, connect to Esplanade Design cost in phases - Site development, permitting, civil engineering, infrastructure - $225,000 - 275,000. Structure - $125,000 - Band Shell restroom office Eliminate concrete, more green space Need safe parking, shade structure, remove trees & keep walkway promenade with lighting, Keep waterway canal private. Need gate/fence for children (not supervised). Chair Portu will draft letter to Kimley-Horn to encourage improvement changes, with copy to committee.. b. Food Forest Member Richards stated Affordable Landscaping will keep tree seeds in small containers for City. She will send out letters to move forward with funding. Ms. Malloy stated Finance Department is working out donation funds to Youth Council with donor. Member Minning left meeting at 3:50 p.m. Member Richards gave kudos to Ms. Malloy for working out amenable communications with Pickle ball participants at Racquet Center.
