MINUTES
May 14, 2024 at 6:15 PM

1. Call to Order/Roll Call-The Finance and Purchasing Committee met in a regular session on
Tuesday, May 14, 2024. Rick Noe called the meeting to order at 6:16 pm. Members present were
Courtney Ferguson, Barb Hoilien, and Rick Noe. Also present were Mayor Darryl Teske, City
Administrator Daron Haugh, and Deputy Clerk Nicole Lyddy.
2. Minutes- Motion made by Ferguson, Seconded by Noe to approve minutes of April 23, 2024.
Motion carried.
3. Vouchers- Motion made by Ferguson, Seconded by Hoilien to recommend to the council to
approve Vouchers of $773,860.17. Motion carried.
4. Motion made by Ferguson, Seconded by Hoilien to recommend to the council to approve donating
the old dock at Riverside Park to Outdoors Forever. Motion carried.
5. TC Networks keyless fob quote for Fire Department- Motion made by Noe, Seconded by
Ferguson to recommend to the council to approve TC Networks quote of $10,707.90 out of Fire
Equipment Replacement Building Maintenance Fund to replace the fob system at the Fire
Station. Motion carried.
6. Fire Department Tanker Nelson gave background on replacing a 35-year-old tanker. Motion
made by Noe, Seconded by Ferguson to recommend to the council to approve TC Networks
quote of $10,707.90 out of the Fire Equipment Replacement Fund to replace the fob system at the
Fire Station. Motion carried by unanimous roll call vote.
7. Radio repeater for the City- Nelson stated that Wiscom is sometimes difficult to communicate
with each other right now. By having a repeater like other municipalities have to be used between
our Police, Fire, and Public Works departments would benefit our city emergency services.
Motion made by Ferguson, Seconded by Hoilien to recommend to the council to approve
purchasing a repeater for the City at the cost of $4,611.42 from Gencomm. Motion carried.
8. Affordable Housing Fund grant application- This item was tabled for further discussion.
9. 2024-2028 Capital Improvement Plan- Motion made by Noe, Seconded by Hoilien to recommend
to the council to approve the 2024-2028 Capital Plan. Motion carried.
10. Adjourn- Motion made by Ferguson, Seconded by Noe to adjourn. Motion carried. The Meeting
adjourned at 6:35 pm.
