CITY OF MCKEESPORT REGULAR MEETING WEDNESDAY 7:05 P.M. OCTOBER 6, 2021 The regular meeting of Council was called to order on the above- stated date at the above-stated time after the Pledge of Allegiance and a Moment of Silence by President Dellapenna. President Dellapenna called for roll call by Secretary Annette James. The following Members of Council were present: RC-1 PRESENT: LUETHEL NESBIT, JIM BARRY, BRIAN EVANS, JILL LAPE, RICHARD DELLAPENNA, KEITH SOLES ABSENT: TIMOTHY BROWN (Mayor Cherepko said for the record Mr. Brown had a work commitment) APPROVAL OF MINUTES: President Dellapenna asked for a Motion to Approve the Minutes of the regular meeting of September 1, 2021. MOTION: Mrs. Nesbit moved, seconded by Mr. Soles, “to approve the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of September 1, 2021.” RC-2 YEAS: NESBIT, BARRY, EVANS, LAPE, DELLAPENNA, SOLES (6) NAYS: NONE (0) COMMUNICATIONS: President Dellapenna asked for communications and Ms. James reported that we received both the Police and Fire Reports for the month of September 2021. [1] MAYOR’S REPORT: President Dellapenna asked Mayor, you have nothing else? Mayor Cherepko said no, Mr. President, I spent 20 minutes talking about some of the things going on, so with that I yield my time. President Dellapenna said thank you sir. CITIZENS IN THE AUDIENCE: President Dellapenna asked for citizens in the audience, when your name is called, please come forward, state your address and your business and keep in mind you have three minutes. Mr. Giles – Keith Giles, 336 Penny Street, McKeesport, PA 15132 spoke about a proposal request from First Step. Ms. Stinson – Kay Stinson, 1402 Carnegie Avenue, requested adding Carnegie Avenue to the paving list. NEW BUSINESS: RESOLUTION NO. 2021-032- Bill #47 - Introduced by Jim Barry – A Resolution of the City of McKeesport, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, Awarding the Bid for Demolition/Clearance to Advanced Builders, Inc., and Authorizing the Proper City Officers to Execute all Documents Necessary to Enter Into an Agreement with Advanced Builders, Inc. for an Amount not to Exceed $644,000. MOTION: Mrs. Nesbit moved, seconded by Mr. Evans “to approve Bill #47.” President Dellapenna asked for questions or comments and there were none. RC-3 YEAS: NESBIT, BARRY, EVANS, LAPE, DELLAPENNA, SOLES (6) NAYS: NONE (0) [2] RESOLUTION NO. 2021-033- Bill #48 –Introduced by Brian Evans – A Resolution of the City of McKeesport, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, Awarding the Bid for the McKeesport CD Street Improvements Project – Phase II (CD-20-06, CD-21-07) to El Grande Industries, Inc., and Authorizing the Proper City Officials to Execute all Documents Necessary to Enter Into an Agreement With El Grande Industries, Inc. for an Amount Not to Exceed $204,821. MOTION: Mr. Barry moved, seconded by Mrs. Lape “to approve Bill #48.” President Dellapenna asked for questions or comments and there were none. RC-4 YEAS: NESBIT, BARRY, EVANS, LAPE, DELLAPENNA, SOLES (6) NAYS: NONE (0) RESOLUTION NO. 2021-034- Bill #49 –Introduced by Jill Lape – A Resolution of the City of McKeesport, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, Awarding the Bid for the 10th Ward Boat Access Reconstruction Project (2019-CITF-063) to Lutterman Excavating, LLC and Authorizing the Proper City Officials to Execute All Documents Necessary to Enter Into an Agreement with Lutterman Excavating, LLC for an Amount Not To Exceed $83,700. MOTION: Mr. Soles moved, seconded by Mr. Barry “to approve Bill #49.” President Dellapenna asked for questions or comments and there were none.
