Minutes of the June 28, 2022 Police and Fire Commission Meting Call to order: The meeting was called to order at 9:00 AM by commission president Ron Sandfort. Roll Call: Commissioners Ley, Miller, Spielman, and Sandfort were present. Also present was Police Chief Atkinson. Approval of minutes of March 3, 2022 meeting: Moved by Miller, Seconded by Spielman, to approve the minutes of the March 3, 2022 meeting. Motion carried. Public Comments Related to Agenda Items: There were none. New Business: Commissioner Sandfort was reelected as Commission President. Motion to go into closed session: Moved by Spielman, seconded by Miller, to go into closed session. Motion carried. Motion to come out of closed session: Moved by Miller, seconded by Spielman, to come out of closed session. Motion carried. No action was taken in the closed session. Moved by Miller, seconded by Spielman, to direct the police chief to do background checks on Jake Boyette Jordan Wold Motion carried. Adjourn: Motion by Spielman, seconded by Ley, to adjourn. Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 1:25 PM. The time and place of the next meeting will be determined later.
