City of Menomonie Police and Fire Commission Meeting Minutes August 11, 2022 Call to Order The meeting was called to Order at 9:00 a.m. by commission president Ron Sandfort. Roll Call Commissioners Spielman, Ley, Sandfort and Sweeny were present. Also present was Chief Denny Klass. Approval of Minutes Motion by Spielman, seconded by Sweeny to approve July 26, 2022 minutes. Motion carried Old Business An officer was conducting a background check in Phoenix, the applicant is passing so far. The police chief will put out a notice for more officer applicants. New Business Interviewing four EMT/Firefighter applicants Closed Session Motion to go into closed session by Ley, seconded by Spielman. Motion carried. Motion to go out of closed session by Ley, and seconded by Spielman. Motion carried Motion to direct Chief Klass to do a background check on Seth Loberg and Matthew Goodrum by Sweeny, seconded by Spielman Motion carried Motion to adjourn by Spielman, seconded by Ley. Motion carried Meeting adjourned at 11:00 a.m.Next meeting to be determined.
