City of Menomonie Police and Fire Commission Meeting Minutes September 14, 2022 CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 1:00 PM by President Ron Sandfort. ROLL CALL Commissioners present were Ron Sandfort, Robin Sweeny, Dorian Spielman and Fire Chief Dennis Klass. Members absent were Jim Ley and Tom Miller. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Motion by Sweeny and seconded by Spielman, to approve the minutes of the August 11, 2022 meeting. Motion carried OLD BUSINESS There was none NEW BUSINESS Motion by Sweeny, seconded by Spielman to go into closed session to interview for Fire Department Captain Position. CLOSED SESSION Motion to return to open session by Sweeny and second by Spielman. Motion to promote Brady Bleskacek to the Position of Captain, and establish an eligibility list for Captain with Josh Romsos ranked second (2nd) and Michael Christian ranked third (3rd). The eligibility list will be good for one year from today’s date. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 3:00 PM. The next meeting of the Police and Fire Commission to be held on September 29, 2022 at the Menomonie Police Department. Meeting time will be scheduled at a later date.
