Present: Councilman Edward McKeon, Councilman Gene Nocera, Councilman Anthony Gennaro, Carl
Erlacher, Joseph Samolis, Chris Holden, Joesph Fazzino, and Captain John Lozefski
Absent: Councilwoman Meghan Carta
1. Councilman McKeon called the Finance & Government meeting to order and requested a motion
to approve the December 1, 2021 minutes. Councilwoman Salafia motioned to approve,
Councilman Nocera second; unanimously approved.
2. Public Comments on the Agenda – none
3. Items submitted for discussion:
ECD – Resolution authorizing the Mayor to sign and submit an application to the State of
CT for a grant in the amount of $150,000 in LoCIP funds for the necessary roof
remodeling and repair work at 80 Harbor Drive
Councilman Nocera made a motion to approve, Councilwoman Salafia second;
unanimously approved
Central Communications – Resolution requesting the Mayor to sign and submit an
application to the State of CT for a grant in the amount of $25,000 in LoCIP funds for
purchasing uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) batteries for the telecommunication site.
A motion was made to approve the Resolution requesting the Mayor to
sign and submit an application to the State of CT for a grant in the amount of $25,000 in
in LoCIP funds for purchasing uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) batteries for the
telecommunication site. It was seconded; unanimously approved.
Public Works- Grant confirmation totaling $25,000 in State funds for Carton Council
Recycling Education
A motion was made to approve a Grant confirmation totaling $25,000 in State funds for
Carton Council Recycling Education. It was seconded; unanimously approved.
Police- Grant Confirmation totaling 25,000 in State funds for JAG Violent Crime
Protection
A motion was made to approve the Grant Confirmation totaling $ 25,000 in State funds
for JAG Violent Crime Prevention. It was seconded; unanimously approved.
