MIDDLETOWN TOWN COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES The Middletown Town Council held a meeting on July 16th 2024. The council approved the minutes from the July 2nd meeting Approved claims 39768 – 39825 totaling 331,103.47 1. Dan Fountain motioned and Ryan Smith seconded approving Ordinance 2024-4 on its’ second reading. Motion carried 4-0. 2. Ryan Smith motioned and Teresa Dennis seconded declaring the Locust street manhole collapse, the 6th street manhole collapse and the sewer collapse on Raider Road at the park entrance as emergency situations. Motion carried 4-0. 3. The IMPA service agreement was tabled until the next meeting. 4. Park Board appointment was tabled until next meeting. 5. It appears that READII grant money will not be available. 6. There was discussion about possibly hiring someone to post information on social media for the town. 7. Brad Smitty was sworn in as a reserve officer. 8. Dan Fountain motioned and Ryan Smith seconded approving ALTEC estimate of 8796.83 for repairing the line truck.
