Village of Millbrook 20 Front Street- Millbrook Firehouse Board of Trustees (BOT)- Budget- Water & Sewer February 22, 2023 1. Roll Call: Mayor Collopy, Deputy Mayor Contino, Trustee Herzog, Trustee Murphy (in at 6:30 PM), Scott Osborn (VRI), Senior Account Clerk McLaughlin, and Clerk Witt Absent: Trustee Doro 2. Open meeting – 6:00 PM with Pledge of Allegiance. 3. Budget on Water and Sewer: The Board met with Scott Osborn of VRI to discuss his budget figures for 2023/2024 Water and Sewer Budget. The Board reviewed the attached Water and Sewer worksheets. The Board discussed a water rate increase of at least 3.5% gallons raising the rate to $7.50 per 1000 gallon for the Village and $10.86 per 100 gallon for the Town users. The Sewer Benefit Assessment will be going up from $50,000 to $61,000. These changes will be voted on after the public hearing to pass the budget. 4. Thorndale Payment- Motion made by Mayor Collopy to accept the two-part payment plan to repay Thorndale Farms for being over charged on their water bill- 1st payment will be in 2023 ($22,000), second and final payment will be completed in April 2024 (VRI to pay the interest), seconded by Deputy Mayor Contino and all were in favor. 5. Public Comment: There was none. 6. Next Scheduled Budget Meeting: March 1, 2023- Police and Highway Department. 7.
