Village of Millbrook Climate Smart Community Meeting Minutes September 27, 2024 Members present: Mike Herzog, Tim Collopy, Peter Groffman, Shannon LaDeau, Genevieve Glasson, Eldar Shuminov —— Task Force Members 2025 Members of the task force who were present were asked if they were prepared to serve on the Task force in 2025. All responded that they were willing to continue on task force, attend quarterly meetings, help with future projects and help in the preparation of our application for Bronze status scheduled for submission next January. —— Chairperson There was a discussion among the task force members as to who could take over as chairperson or coordinator of the CSC task force for 2025. Mike Herzog agreed to take on this responsibility solely going into the new year. —— Review of filing process for Bronze Status Both Genevieve Glasson and Mike Herzog outlined the steps necessary to prepare pledge element actions for approval in our application for Bronze Status. A set of papers outlined what actions were finished and documented, had actions finished but needed written descriptions and supporting documentation and had actions that might garner points in the future if followed up with more activity and research. Task force members picked an action to work on before our next meeting. —— Discussion of Village leaf removal for 2024 The new process of how Village collected leaves would be turned into mulch was described by Mayor Collopy. There was a consensus among the task force that this new method of disposal was superior to how leaves were disposed of in the past. —— Next meeting Date was set for October 30th as a zoom meeting pending members availability.
