Shade Tree Commission

Village of Millbrook, NY Shade Tree Commission September 09, 2024 DRAFT Village Hall Present: Mike Herzog, Ceil Collopy and Eldar Shuminov Old Business 1 - Mike motioned to approve minutes from the April 16th, 2024 meeting, seconded by Ceil Collopy and passed. 2 - Continued discussion to adopt a new village tree responsibility policy from 25 ft from center of the road to within 6 ft from edge of road. Eldar Shumionv motioned to adopt the new policy, seconded by Ceil Collopy, passed unanimously and adopted. New Business 3 - Discussed the future Shade Tree Commission positions for 2025. As well discussed possible coordination between the Shade Tree Commission and the Climate Smart Committee. 4a. - Began a discussion and review of present Shade Commission by-laws. 4b. - Began a discussion on possible ideas and way(s) to implement tree treatment. 4c - Began a discussion on the need and way(s) to conduct a Village of Millbrook tree survey. 5 - Discussed locations of trees for inspection, removal and replacement for the end of the 2024 year. 6 - Set a new meeting on Thursday November 14th , 20024 at 10am.
