Village of Millbrook, NY Shade Tree Commission March 13, 2025 4pm Village Hall Present: Bucklin, Collopy, McGrane, Shuminov. Review of Bylaws for Committee Tree Responsibilities​ Discussion reviewing the current bylaws regarding the responsibilities of the tree commission. The committee members reviewed guidelines in managing, overseeing tree planting, and removal processes. The committee reviewed the current bylaws outlining responsibilities related to tree management. Members discussed updates to clarify removal and maintenance. Procedures for Removing and Planting Trees​ The committee discussed the procedures for the removal and planting of trees. There was a consensus to review to ensure alignment with the community’s needs and environmental goals. Arbor Day Event at Elm Drive Date April 25th 2025​ The committee discussed the upcoming Arbor Day event at Elm Drive. Details for the upcoming Arbor Day event at Elm Drive were shared. Committee Member & Community Input​ Committee members provided input on improving community engagement and enhancing tree care programs. Committee members shared additional suggestions, including ideas for future projects and ways to improve engagement with the community. The committee will explore ways to increase communication and collaboration with the broader community. Comments included requests for more tree(s) plantings and better maintenance of existing tree(s). Next Meeting: 04/09/25 4pm
