Clark Trustee Donna M. Solosky ALSO PRESENT: Village Attorney John P. Gibbons, Jr. Village Clerk Bryan L. Rivera Deputy Village Clerk Linda Pardo Superintendent of Public Works Leonard M. Palumbo Press Observer: None Sunshine Observers: 1 Observer Mayor Paul A. Pereira announced that there will be a budget presentation at the April 2 work session and a budget public hearing on April 9, reported that organization night will be held on April 16, stated that the Mineola Athletic Association’s opening day parade will be held on Saturday, April 5, and encouraged residents to get the leisure passes early. Mayor Pereira stated that he attended the Mineola High School booster club’s annual Mustang Stakes on Saturday, as well as the New York Portuguese American Leadership Council Women’s Hall of Fame celebration where 12 women were inducted, four of which were Mineola residents including Cina Palumbo, Hilda Amaral, Julia Rodrigues and Augusta Fernandes. Deputy Mayor Janine Sartori discussed Mineola High School’s impressive robotics program and facilities and wished the team luck at their competition this coming weekend, stated that she hopes to see many residents at the MAA opening day parade, announced that the Foodie Fest is now a two-day event which will be on May 17 and May 18, encouraged residents to get the leisure passes, and reminded residents that registration information for summer recreation and swimming lessons will be available soon. Trustee Paul S. Cusato thanked everyone who came out to support the Mineola Junior Fire Department at the pasta dinner, and discussed the Chamber of Commerce meeting where speakers included a representative from Nassau County Consumer Affairs and the vice presi- dent of the Mineola Historical Society. Trustee Jeffrey M. Clark had no report. Trustee Donna M. Solosky reported that there will be a Women in Business event on April 22 at the St. James Restaurant, and added that the Mineola Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Mineola Fire Department and Mineola Auxiliary Police Department are always looking for volunteers. 1 speaker addressed the Board 4 Mayor Paul A.
