Mayor Paul A. Pereira announced upcoming events including the Chamber of Commerce
“Movie in the Park” featuring Moana 2 on Friday, September 26, the final Concert in the Park
featuring The U2 Show on Saturday, September 27, the Mineola Street Fair on Sunday,
October 5, the Italian flag raising ceremony on Friday, October 10 at 5:00 PM and the Fall
Festival on October 18 and 19. Mayor Pereira thanked the Village Clerk’s office for organizing
the Summer Concert Series and the 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony, and thanked Robert
Connolly who did an outstanding job as keynote speaker at this year’s 9/11 ceremony.
Deputy Mayor Janine Sartori commented that she looks forward to seeing residents at the many
upcoming events. Deputy Mayor Sartori also thanked the Department of Public Works for their
work before, during and after all of the Village events.
Trustee Paul S. Cusato had no report.
Trustee Jeffrey M. Clark announced that Harper’s Ferry will be performing at the Irish
American Center during the Mineola Street Fair and reminded residents to have their home
heating equipment serviced and to check their smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
Trustee Donna M. Solosky had no report.
