Others Present: City Manager, City Clerk Secretary, City Attorney, Assistant City Attorney, Finance Director, Airport Director, Airport Operations Manager, Airport Engineers, and Alderman B. Miller, and Jill Schramm. To the Honorable Mayor and All Aldermen: Following are the recommendations from the Airport Committee meeting called to order at 4:15 p.m., November 26, 2012: 1. That the City Council authorize the Mayor to sign the 2013 Project Validation Worksheets for the FAA and any documents associated with its submittal. ********** The above motion by Alderman Knudsvig and seconded by Alderman Frey and carried unanimously. The Airport engineers stated the request is to receive the maximum eligible funding for the apron project, in the amount of $7-8 million, and for the terminal project, in the amount of $10 million. General Information Discussion was held on moving the meeting location and dates to alleviate parking issues at the meetings. Chairman Hatlelid stated future Airport Committee meetings would be held in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, immediately following the Finance and Improvements Committee, no earlier than 4:15 pm. The Airport Director updated the Committee on the status of various airport projects. He stated the Taxiway ‘C’ project and the security system upgrade projects were complete, the terminal design phase is 65% complete, and the holiday parking solution worked well. The Airport Director indicated the parking lot management contract was under review by City staff . Committee members requested the contract for the parking lot management and car rental services come back to the Committee for review after they are in the final form. The Airport Director reported on the recent delays caused by de-icing truck breakdowns. He stated a third truck would be placed in Minot as a regional back up for the area. The Airport Engineers also provided updates on various airport projects.
