To the Honorable Mayor and All Aldermen: Following are the minutes of the Liquor/Gambling Control Committee meeting called to order at 4:33 p.m. on February 1, 2012: 1. That the City Council authorize the Minot Recreation Commission to have alcoholic beverage use on the Sertoma Sports Complex and the South Hill Complex parking lots during the 2012 softball tournament season for the dates, locations, and times listed. ********** The above motion by Alderman Withus, seconded by Alderman Connole, and carried unanimously. 2. That the City Council approve the request from MSU Alumni Association, for an expansion of their current site authorization to include the Convention Center at the Grand International Inn, 1505 North Broadway for the MSU Beaver Boosters Stag on April 4, 2012 and for the Companions for Children annual fundraiser on April 14, 2012. ********** The above motion by Alderman Withus, seconded by Alderman Connole, and carried unanimously. 3. That the City Council approve a gaming site authorization for Ducks Unlimited, Inc. at Grand International Inn – Convention Center (1505 North Broadway) on March 3 and 23, 2012 for a special event. ********** LIQUOR AND GAMBLING CONTROL COMMITTEE February 1, 2012 Page 2 The above motion by Alderman Withus, seconded by Alderman Connole, and carried unanimously. 4. That the City Council approve a gaming site authorization Rehab Services, Inc. at The Landing Bar (2015 North Broadway) on June 6, 2012 for a special event. ********** The above motion by Alderman Withus, seconded by Alderman Connole, and carried unanimously. 5. That the City Council amend the gaming site authorization for American Foundation for Wildlife at Roosters Nightclub (101 South Main Street) effective February 7, 2012 through June 30, 2012. ********** The above motion by Alderman Withus, seconded by Alderman Connole, and carried unanimously. 6. That the City Council ratify the following administratively approved requests: a. McKinley Elementary PTA for a local permit to conduct raffle on February 3, 2012 at McKinley Elementary (5 5th Ave NE). b. Bel Air Elementary PTA for a local permit to conduct raffle on February 10, 2012 at Bel Air Elementary School (501 25th St NW). c. Knights of Columbus for a local permit to conduct raffle on February 12, 2012 at Little Flower Church (800 University Ave West). d. Souris River Longbeards for a local permit to conduct raffle on February 11, 2012, at the Grand International Inn (1505 N Broadway). e. Minot Wrestling Boosters for a local permit to conduct raffle on April 3, 2012, at Magic City Campus (1100 11th Ave SW). f. Roosevelt PTA for a local permit to conduct raffle on January 27, 2012, at Roosevelt Elementary School (715 8th St NE). g. Lewis and Clark Elementary for a local permit to conduct raffle on January 27, 2012 at Lewis and Clark Elementary School (2215 8th St NW). h. Minot Association of Builders for a local permit to conduct raffle on March 4, 2012 at Minot Association of Builders (606 Burdick Expy W). i. Minot Catholic Schools Carnival Committee for a local permit to conduct bingo on February 17, 2012 to February 19, 2012 at Bishop Ryan High School Gym (316 11th Ave NW). j. Minot Prairie Quilters for a local permit to conduct raffle on March 18, 2012 and December 6, 2012 at the Grand International Convention Center (1505 N Broadway) in March and Vincent Methodist Church (1024 2nd St SE) in December. k. Wings of Minot ND, LLC for alcoholic beverage sales Special Event Permit for a UND Northern Plains Children’s Advocacy fundraiser December 10, 2011 at 7:00 PM until 11:00 PM, at Otis and James Studio (17 S Main). ********** The above motion by Alderman Withus, seconded by Alderman Connole, and carried unanimously.
