MSAC accreditation and long term planning for outreach to stakeholders.
MSAC becoming a cold or hot weather safe haven during hours of operation; collecting
and distributing cooling fans, follow up on the Blue Zone initiative; revive a
neighborhood calling tree; press release that MSAC is a cool haven during work hours.
Ron Merkin reported the Central VT New Directions Coalition had not made much
progress with their survey because many elders were reluctant to restrict public smoking
seeing it as a restriction on personal rights. The group has not scheduled a public
discussion at MSAC as of this date. Janna advised the Advisory Council they could
survey the MSAC membership for their opinion. dianne richardson said she would
investigate membership’s opinion on making MSAC fragrance-free.
