DEPARTMENTAL REPORTS A. Police Chief a. Department Report February 2020 B. Public Works Superintendent Report  Superintendent Entner reported the water department pumped 4.1 million gallons of drinking water.  Superintendent Entner reported the sewer department collected 10.8 million gallons of waste water and that the public works crew will be beginning the spring cleaning project during the coming weeks.  Superintendent Entner explained the street department will be beginning to fill pot holes and steam catch basins.  Superintendent Entner explained that he will be attending the MPCA conference on March 26 and reminded the citizens about the Frozen Water and Sewer Line Policy. C. Technology / Library Report D. City Engineer  E. Chamber of Commerce Updates. 6. PREVIOUSLY DISCUSSED BUSINESS A. Legacy of Excellence Donation Request  Kendra Metz explained the Legacy of Excellence is using donations and funds raised for things such as the playground and other items that did not get completed with the school construction. They are also hoping to begin a scholarship program to reward local students in their post-secondary education.  Consensus given to table until April when the full council will be in attendance. B. 2020 Local Board of Appeal & Equalization Meeting – April 23, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. C. Garage Removal  Motion to award Buetow Trucking the demolition bid in the amount of $3,456.00 by Councilor Sarvela, seconded by Councilor Lower. Vote: Yes – Sarvela, Lower, Juntunen. No – 0. D. Baseball Nets  Motion to approve the purchase of 1 set of baseball nets if the Little League Baseball Association pays for the second by Councilor Sarvela, seconded by Councilor Lower. Vote: Yes – Sarvela, Juntunen, Lower. No – 0. 7. NEW BUSINESS A. James Jungers Resignation  Motion to approve James Jungers Resignation by Councilor Lower, seconded by Councilor Sarvela. No – 0. C. 2019 Mercy Hospital Annual Report  Jon Lund presented the 2019 Annual Report from Mercy Hospital and discussed information regarding the potential merger with Essentia Health. D. Fire Hydrant Markers  Motion to approve the purchase of 100 fire hydrant markers from Pollard Water by Councilor Sarvela, seconded by Councilor Lower. Vote: Yes – Sarvela, Lower, Juntunen. No – 0.
