Health and Wellness Meeting
Thursday January 10, 2019
Public Safety Building-Conference Room at 7:30pm
PRESENT: Dan Shook, Colleen Harshbarger, Ryan Wallace, Christine Wallace, David Loomis, Meghan
Kline, and Patrick Hathaway
Absent: Abigail Riggs
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 pm.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
Minutes from 12/13/18 were approved.
PUBLIC PORTION: N/A
UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
A. Web Design Teams
a. Christine working on calendar
i. Suggested to have requests submitted and approved for the calendar
ii. Discussed having reminder notifications, of upcoming events
b. Dan and David
i. Looked at metrics for health outcomes from CDC/DHHR, unsure that they provide
information we are seeking
ii. Discussion of agencies having participate information, for events such as The
Farmers Market
iii. Discussed well-being index
iv. Reviewed Portland Pulse, as an example of metrics
c. Colleen and Meghan
i. Created a layout for the webpage, with categories and subcategories
NEW BUSINESS:
A. Quotes from radio stations
a. WVAQ and WKKW are top ranked
b. Blast Schedule
i. 13 week campaign; 12 (:30) blast commercials per week, 3 weeks of each month;
commercials run Wednesday through Sunday; 108 (:30) commercials in total; total
cost $3,584.52
c. Fixed Position Package
i. 13 week campaign; commercials placed during early week period, but fixed into
3:00-5:00pm hours; 8 (:30) commercials per week/2 (:30) per day; 32 (:30)
commercials per four week month; total cost $4,931.68
d. Website Stream Starts
i. Available at www.WVAQ.com and other streaming apps; prior to each listener
launching that stream, a (:15) video or audio commercial is played; 26 week
campaign with up to 10,000 impressions; total cost $500/month for six months.
B. Discussion of Andrew Stacy developing website and possibility of a committee to manage the
website
