ATTENDEES: Alexandria Slovos, Sabina Nduaguba, Susan Klingensmith, Louise Michael, Jordan Hyde, Mason Abrogast, Dylan Thomas 1. CALL TO ORDER: 7:03pm 2. APPROVE MINUTES: The minutes was approved by Louise Michael and seconded by Jordan Hyde 3. REPORTS a. CITY COUNCIL: New representative is Loiuse Michael. Louise might not make all future meetings due to work conflict but would try to join from work b. BOPARC: Renovations in the park are now complete. This is Susan’s last meeting. 4. FOLLOW-UP ITEMS a. Events/Exposure i. Replacing/including ‘Walk/Karaoke Information Update: Based on the agreement from a previous meeting that Karaoke might be ideal for fundraising, Crockett’s Lodge was suggested as an ideal location. Mason will prepare a survey that would be used to elicit from Morgantown residents preferred wellness-related activities/event that they would like to engage in. Mason suggested building social media presence by leveraging Facebook to promote our activities, events, opportunities, and website. He  MORGANTOWN Health & Wellness Commission volunteered to work on this. Sabina also volunteered to provide content related to health and wellness at regular intervals for continued social media activity. It was agreed that social media posting would be done once a month. ii. The question of rebranding the Commission’s Facebook account name, Live Well Morgantown, to align with the Commission’s name came up. Sabina agreed that it was a good idea to associate account name with Commission name but that it was also necessary to check whether any changes would require approval from the City. b. Funding: Louise will talk to a representative from the City about funding for the Commission. $2,000 will be requested for a food drive for Seniors and families. Dylan is still looking into grants. c. Contact Information 5. NEW BUSINESS a. New Members: Louise Michael was introduced as the new City Council representative b. Commission Term Lengths: Alexandria’s term as President is up. However, transition may have to be delayed until bye-laws have been revised. 6.
