Sabina, Louise, Ronalie,Meredith Balas, Jordan, Alexandria, Mason 1. CALL TO ORDER 2. APPROVE MINUTES 3. REPORTS a. CITY COUNCIL- Weez reported that there was no City Council news related to health and wellness. Volunteer date and budget has been confirmed. b. BOPARC - New member, Meredith (rec/park management), self-introduction. Stated Bo Parc meets the following week so updates will be a little delayed. Eureka Cafe has new hours. Summer camp registrations start March 11. Ongoing project meetings both public and private. Will give an in depth overview of BoParc future plans. 4. FOLLOW-UP ITEMS a. Bylaws (Vote) - Alexandria stated that City Council and BoParc members have been voting members since she was president. Bylaws were reviewed by commission and determined that this was accurate. Commission voted and adjusted bylaws so there was no question that City Council and BoParc members have voting rights. A motion was granted to approve the finalization of the election meeting to be the first meeting after January 30th. b. Food Drive (Replacing Event Planning) - Weez confirmed conversation with Tom Bloom and April 5th volunteer date c. Survey Finalization: Approval and Distribution Plan Mason gave a detailed presentation of the proposed survey for Morgantown residents. Concern was raised regarding distribution. It was agreed that consulting with other Council teams that have recently sent out surveys would be helpful. d. Funding Opportunities and Community Partnership Updates Efforts are continuing in establishing partnerships and identifying funding opportunities e. Social Media Strategy: Review Pages and Posting Finalization Alexandria suggested having a subcommittee charged with handling the social media presence of the Commission. Jordan, Mason, and Alexandria volunteered to join the Social Media Subcommittee 5. NEW BUSINESS a. New Leadership Nominations Mason – Chair, Sabina – Vice Chair, Treasurer – Louise, Secretary - Jordan b. Elections The nominates were unopposed and elected into the positions listed above c. Appointment – Appointments were made as elected 6. PUBLIC COMMENTS ADJOURMENT 8:03pm
