CITY OF MOSES LAKE PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES OF May 30 ,2024 Commissioners Present: Nathan Nofziger (Chair), Charles Hepburn (Vice Chair), Gary Mann, Susan Tao, Adam Weber Commissioners Absent: Staff Present: Interim Community Development Director Vivian Ramsey, Planner Amy Harris, Long Range Planner James Bagley, and Planning Technician Michelene Torrey The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. Attendance was called by Secretary Michelene Torrey. Item # 1- Approval of Minutes from May 16, 2024, Meeting Minutes for the May 16th meeting were not provided to the commission and will be reviewed and approved at the June 6th Meeting. Item #2 6 Year Transportation Improvement Plan- At the prior meeting on May 16, 2024 the commission requested amendments to the 6 year transportation improvement plan. The amendments were brought back to the commission for their review and consideration. Item #3 PUBLIC HEARING Moses Lake Unified Development Code Kirsten Peterson with SCJ Alliance presented a staff report to the commission on the Development Code and the history of the process. Chair Nofziger opened the public hearing with the narrative that the public hearing would be continued to June 6, 2024. Written comments were provided to the commission in their packets and were entered into the record by Secretary Michelene Torrey. Several members of the public made public comments during the meeting: Commentor Topic Rebecca Hutsell Vacation Rentals Wayne Hutsell Vacation Rentals Sharon Van Woert Vacation Rentals Doug Sly Vacation Rentals Karina Lawson Vacation Rentals Ron Sawyer Septic Tanks and Recharge Areas The Public hearing remained open after the commencement of the public comment and the hearing was continued to June 6th, 2024.
