First Reading: An Ordinance to zone AB, Areawide Business District, an approximately 0.58 acre portion of a 1.28 acre tract of land and CO, Conservation Open Space, the remaining 0.70 acre portion. First Reading: An Ordinance providing for the annexation of an approximately 14.59 acre tract of land comprised of eight parcels as follows: 1) an approximate 9.7 acre tract of land located at 3236 North Highway 17; 2) an approximate 0.72 acre tract of land located at 1121 Joe Bryant Court; 3) an approximate 0.45 acre tract of land located at 3204 North Highway 17; 4) an approximate 0.29 acre tract of land located at 1123 Joe Bryant Court; 5) an approximate 1.36 acre tract of land located at 3218 North Highway 17; 6) an approximate 0.36 acre tract of land located at 1125 Joe Bryant Court; 7) an approximate 1.00 acre tract of land located at 3228 North Highway 17; and 8) an approximate 0.71 acre tract of land located at 1133 Joe Bryant Court. First Reading: An Ordinance to zone AB, Areawide Business District, an approximately 0.47 acre tract of land and an approximately 0.17 acre portion of a 1.67 acre tract of land, an da request to zone AB-2, Areawide Business-2 District, the remaining 1.50 acre portion of the latter 1.67 acre tract of land, located at 1735 and 1733 North Highway 17, respectively, depicted in Plat Book DA, Page 469, Charleston County ROD. (Ord. No. 19079) 11. First Reading: An Ordinance to amend various sections of Chapter 156, Zoning Code, of the Mount Pleasant Code of Ordinances, including Section 156.007, Definitions, Section 156.325, Principal Use Table, Section 156.326 Principal Use Conditions, and elsewhere within Chapter 156 by modifying all provisions related to Bed and Breakfast, Short Term Rental, Etc., to make consistent with the newly adopted Short Term Rental Ordinance (Ord. No. 19048). (Ord. No. 19080; Exhibit) 12. First Reading: An Ordinance to amend the Town of Mount Pleasant Code of Ordinances, Chapter 150, Building Regulations, as described herein and in Exhibit A, pertaining to the adoption date of the latest edition of the International Property Maintenance Code and the International Existing Building codes referenced in Code Section 150.001 (A), (J) and (K). (Ord. No. 19081) Page 4 of 8 B. OLD BUSINESS 1. Final Reading: An Ordinance to amend the Zoning Code of the Mount Pleasant Code of Ordinances Section 156.007, Definitions, and to amend Zoning Code Sections 156.430, 156.431, 156.432, and 156.433, which provide for the Organization, Definitions, Power and Duties, and Procedures of the Old Village Historic District Commission, and elsewhere within Chapter 156. (Ord. No. 19062) 2. Final Reading: An Ordinance to rezone from OP, Office Professional District, to AB-2, Areawide Business District, an approximately 0.83 acre tract of land located at 1190 Shadow Drive and depicted in Plat Book AJ, Page 079, Charleston County ROD. Subject parcel to remain in the BOD, Boulevard Overlay District. (Ord. No. 19063) 3. Final Reading: An Ordinance providing for an amendment to the Oakland Plantation PD, Planned Development District Ordinance (No. 04104), and subsequent amendments, pertaining to the treatment of signs on five certain parcels identified on the sign exhibit by classifying two existing legal nonconforming signs to be conforming. (Ord. No. 19064) 4. Final Reading: An Ordinance to amend the Central Mount Pleasant PD-MU-SU, Planned Development-Mixed Use Suburban- Urban District Ordinance (Ordinance No. 07030, as amended) by rezoning an approximately 1.99 acre parcel from R-1, Low Density Residential District, and incorporating it into the PD as part of the School Tract. Parcel is located at 1432 Hale Road and depicted on a Plat recorded by the Charleston County ROD Office in Plat Book M, Page 011. (Ord. No. 19065) Page 5 of 8 5. Final Reading: An Ordinance to amend Paragraph (3) of Section 156.102(A), of Chapter 156, Zoning Code, of the Mount Pleasant Code of Ordinances pertaining to the height of certain accessory structures. (Ord. No. 19066) 6. Final Reading: An Ordinance to amend Paragraph (1) of Section 156.107(A), of Chapter 156, Zoning Code, of the Mount Pleasant Code of Ordinances pertaining to the encroachment of certain accessory structures in setbacks. (Ord. No. 19067) 7. Final Reading: An Ordinance to rezone from NC, Neighborhood Commercial District, to R-1, Low Density Residential District, an approximately 0.18 acre tract of land located on Schirmer Avenue and depicted in Plat Book J, Page 111, Charleston County ROD. Subject parcel to remain in the BOD, Boulevard Overlay District. (Ord. No. 19069) IX. COMMITTEE ACTION ITEMS A. Accommodations Tax Advisory Committee Funding Recommendations B. Education Committee Approval to draft a letter to the Charleston County Board of Trustees to oppose changes to partial and magnet programs and to delay upcoming votes on such matters until more information is available. C. Planning Committee Discussion and approval of possible reduction of existing 80- foot building height limits to 65 feet in the Boulevard Overlay District and the Waterfront Gateway District; affected areas are near the base of the Ravenel Bridge (in the vicinity of Johnnie Dodds, Wingo Way, Magrath Darby, Mathis Ferry and Houston Northcutt) and near the US17/I-526 interchange (Johnnie Dodds, Bowman Road, Stuart Engals) Page 6 of 8 D. Recreation Committee 1. Approval to create a fund for the purpose of collecting donations for the construction of a Cultural Arts Center 2.
