SPECIAL TOWN COUNCIL MEETING Tuesday March 11, 2025 5:00 p.m. Municipal Complex, Council Chambers 100 Ann Edwards Lane, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464 MINUTES 1. Call to Order Mayor Haynie called the meeting to order at 5:02 p.m. Daniel Brownstein, Howard Chapman, Jake Rambo, John Iacofano, Guang Ming Whitley were all present. Gary Santos and Laura Hyatt arrived at 5:04 p.m. 2. Public Comment Deidre Kennedy stated she heard the Town is planning to remove 13 large pine trees on Equestrian Drive due to the roots infiltrating onto the street. She asked if the Town would take a second look and see if something else can be done since the last thing we want to do is remove trees. 3. Executive Session Mr. Chapman moved to go into executive session for the reasons listed on the agenda and stated by Mayor Haynie, seconded by Mr. Iacofano. All present voted in favor. Mayor Haynie adjourned the meeting into executive session at 5:03 p.m. (Mr. Santos and Ms. Hyatt arrived at 5:04 p.m.) Personnel Consideration of applications to serve on the GREEN Commission Legal and Contractual Discussion and possible action related to a contract for the purchase and sale of real property Mayor Haynie reconvened the meeting at 5:42 p.m. stating no action or votes were taken. 4. Post Executive Session  Council may take action on any item, including any subsection of any section, listed on an executive session agenda or discussed in an executive session during a properly noticed meeting. Mr. Brownstein moved to appoint Mr. Don Bailey to the GREEN Commission, seconded by Mr. Iacofano. All present voted in favor. 5. Recognition of Wando Girls Rugby State Champions Ms. Hyatt introduced the Wando Girls Rugby State Champions. Mayor and Council congratulated them on their Championship victory. 6.
