Staff: Kate Dolan, Jane Yager-Baumrind I. Approval of Agenda Mr. Morrissey moved to approve the agenda. Ms. Sutherland second the motion. All in favor. II. Approval of Minutes Deferred to October 2019 meeting. III. Discuss Action Plan with Committee Assignments Ms. Theresa Gordon introduced herself to the Commission. IV. Staff Update Ms. Dolan reviewed the staff update with the Commission. V. Committee Action Items A. Public Education Committee 1. Near Field Communication (NFC) Ms. Sutherland updated the Commission on status of public education. Kate reviewed the logo with the commission. B. Historical Marker Committee Ms. Gordon updated the Commission on the signs. Kate Dolan updated the Commission about who owns the sign.  Historical Commission September 12, 2019 Page 2 of 2 C. Special Collection Committee Mr. Gutowski advised the Commission that The Avery Research Institute will be selling items and he will monitor to see if anything will pertain to Mount Pleasant that would be useful in our history room. D. Tourism Committee Mr. Gutowski asked if the rack card locations needed replenishment. Kate answered in the affirmative that all places have adequate supply. E. Organization and Administration Committee 1. Cresco Historical Stewardship Award Ms. Theis moved to approve the purchase of Cresco Award for FY 2019/2020. Ms. Sutherland second the motion. All in favor. VI. Agenda Items for Next Meeting Near Field Communication, Black History Month Ms. Theis moved to approve the following agenda items for the October 2019 meeting: ➢ Near Field Communication ➢ Black History Month Ms. Sutherland second the motion.
