TOWN OF MOUNT PLEASANT, SOUTH CAROLINA RECREATION ADVISORY COMMISSION Tuesday, February 21, 2023, 1:00pm Council Chambers 100 Ann Edwards Lane Mount Pleasant, SC 29464 Minutes Present: Perry Rourk (Chair), Edwin Cuttino, April Gift (Remote), Frederick Rodewoldt, Greer Hanlon, John Dodds, Keely Enright, Ken Ayoub, Kevin Kollegger, Lynne Moore, Renken Carlin (Remote) Absent: Michelle Cormack, John Dodds, Kevin Kollegger, Renken Carlin, April Gift Staff Present: Steve Gergick I. Call to Order Called to order at 1:00pm II. Approval of January 26, 2023 Minutes Motion by Mr. Rodewoldt with a second by Mr. Cuttino; Unanimous Mr. Gergick mentioned change in format of minutes. Mr. Cuttino offered a correction that he was present at the prior meeting via phone. III. Public Comment No public comment IV. Update from Subcommittee Meeting There was discussion about the subcommittee meeting regarding the allocation of field space rental. V. Update on Recreation Referendum and Associated Projects There was an update by Mr. Gergick regarding the Recreation Referendum and the associated projects. Mr. Cuttino asked about the scope of the Park West Pool. Mr. Gergick explained the project. Mr. Rourk asked about the Park West pool renovation. Mr. Gergick clarified. Mr. Rourk asked about the Rifle Range Road process. Mr. Gergick clarified. Mr. Rourk asked about Carolina Park updates. Mr. Gergick clarified. Mr. Ayoub asked about Mount Pleasant Way progress. Mr. Gergick provided an update. Mr. Hanlon asked about estimated completion for Phase 3 and Phase 4 at Carolina Park. Mr. Gergick clarified. Mr. Gergick mentioned projects headed by Public Services. Mr. Rourk asked about the infields. Mr. Gergick clarified. Mr. Rourk inquired about the lining robot. Mr. Gergick said he will check the status and there is discussion. Mr. Rourk welcomes Ms. Moore. Mr. Santos told the Commission about the portable fencing that is available.  Mr. Santos mentioned a triathlon that is being discussed between Sullivans Island, Isle of Palms, and Mount Pleasant. Mr. Rourk reminded the Commission the next meeting is March st 21 at 1:00pm. VI.
