Motion - M/S - Batton/Sylvester - Minutes for the Janary 3, 2019, meeting were approved
with no modifications.

6.1 Recommendations for FY 2019-20 Community Development Block
Grant (CDBG) and General Fund Public Service Funding Requests
Motion - M/S - Stone/Batton - To recommend to the City Council to approve staff's
recommendation for $90,000 of CDBG funding. If additional CDBG funds or program
income is made available in any amount, the Commission recommends allocating any
excess amount of CDBG funds proportionally to the applicants up to their requested
amount.
Yes: 6- Commissioner Batton, Commissioner Sharma, Commissioner Romero,
Commissioner Stone, Vice Chair Sylvester and Chair Solomon
Motion - M/S - Batton/Stone - To recommend that the City Council fund Housing and
Economics Rights Advocates at $5,000, proportionally edistributing 2.5% of funding from
each agency recommended for funding over $5,000, resulting in a total General Fund
Public Service allocation of $220,706, with the funding modifications below.

Recommendation: Minutes for the January 3, 2019, meeting have been delivered to Commissioners and a

motion is in order to approve these minutes.

6.1 Recommendations for FY 2019-20 Community Development Block
Grant (CDBG) and General Fund Public Service Funding Requests
Recommendation: The HRC will hold a public hearing to hear presentations from agencies seeking FY
2019-20 CDBG and General Fund Public Service funds and make funding
recommendations for City Council consideration.
