Location
This meeting will be conducted in accordance with State of California Executive Order
N-29-20, dated March 17, 2020. All members of the Performing Arts Committee will
participate in the meeting by video conference, with no physical meeting location.
Members of the public wishing to comment on an item on the agenda may do so in the
following ways:
1. Email comments to PerformingArts@mountainview.gov by 5:00 p.m. on the meeting
date. Emails will be forwarded to the Performing Arts Committee. Please identify the
Agenda Item number in the subject line of your email. All emails received will be entered
into the record for the meeting.
2. Provide oral public comments during the meeting:

3.1 Approval of Minutes
Recommendation: The Performing Arts Committee (PAC) approve the minutes of the April
21, 2021 meeting.

4. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE PUBLIC
This portion of the meeting is reserved for persons wishing to address the Committee on
any matter not on the agenda. Speakers are limited to three minutes. State law prohibits
the Committee from acting on non-agenda items.
5. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
5.1 Mountain View Film Festival 2021 Proposal
Recommendation: Background: At the September 16, 2020 meeting a Subcommittee was
formed to begin planning the feasibility of PAC hosting an online film
festival with the theme of “Race, Equity, Justice and Inclusion”.
Hear an update from the Subcommittee.
5.2 Art for Youth
Recommendation: Background: at the May 15, 2019 meting Committee member Roy
requested to discuss ways to explore arts and its language as used for
young audiences. On September 16, 2020 an Art for Youth
Subcommittee was formed to plan events with this topic.
Hear an update from the Subcommittee.
5.3 PAC Member Photo
Recommendation: Background: The PAC website should have a current photo of
Committee members.
Take a group photo to update the PAC website.

6. NEW BUSINESS
6.1 Work Plan for FY 21-22
Recommendation: Background: Each year PAC submits a Work Plan to City Council for
the following fiscal year.
Approve or amend the draft plan submitted by Staff.

6.2 Home Company Search
Recommendation: Background: The Mountain View City Council directed the Performing
Arts Committee to conduct a formal Home Company Search for the
2022-2023 booking year.
Staff to present an overview of the parameters and criteria for
selection process for committee discussion.
7. COMMITTEE/STAFF ANNOUNCEMENTS, UPDATES, REQUESTS AND COMMITTEE
REPORTS
No action will be taken on questions raised by the Committee at this time.

The next Performing Arts Committee meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 2021
at 6:15 p.m. remotely via video conference with no physical location.

NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC:
The specific location of each meeting is noted on the notice and agenda for each meeting which is posted at least 72
hours in advance of the meeting. Special meetings may be called as necessary by the Committee Chair and noticed at
least 24 hours in advance of the meeting.

Interested persons may review the agenda and staff reports at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts beginning
the Friday before each regular meeting. Staff reports are also available during each meeting.

Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts office at 650-903-6565. Notification of 48 hours prior to the meeting will
enable the City to make reasonable arrangements to ensure accessibility to this meeting. (28 CFR 35.160 (b) (1)).
The Committee may take action on any matter noticed herein in any manner deemed appropriate by the Committee. Their
consideration of the matters noticed herein is not limited by the recommendations indicated herein.
SPECIAL NOTICE: Any writings or documents provided to a majority of the Performing Arts Committee regarding any item
on this agenda will be made available for public inspection in the Center for the Performing Arts office, located at 500
Castro Street, during normal business hours and at the meeting location noted on the agenda during the meeting.
ADDRESSING THE COMMITTEE
Interested persons are entitled to speak on any item on the agenda and should make their interest known to the Chair.
Anyone wishing to address the Committee on a nonagenda item may do so during the “Oral Communications” part of the
agenda. Speakers are allowed to speak one time on any number of topics for up to three minutes.
Anyone requiring interpretation services will be afforded twice the allotted speaking time allowed for each specific item.
