CALL TO ORDER Chair Donahue called the meeting to order at 5:31 p.m. 2. ROLL CALL Present 5- Committee Member Li-Leng Au, Committee Member Sukanya Kumar, Committee Member John McAlister, Committee Member Yao Yao, and Chair Carol Donahue 3. MINUTES APPROVAL 3.1 Approval of Minutes MOTION M/S Kumar / Au - To: approve the minutes of the June 15, 2022 meeting with the edit as suggested by Chair Donahue. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 4- Committee Member Au, Committee Member Kumar, Committee Member Yao, and Chair Donahue Abstain: 1- Committee Member McAlister 4. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE PUBLIC 5. UNFINISHED BUSINESS 6. NEW BUSINESS 6.1 AB 361 Resolution to Continue Remote Public Meetings During State of Emergency MOTION M/S Kumar / McAlister - To: approve the adoption of the AB 361 resolution as presented by staff. MINUTES APPROVAL 3.1 Approval of Minutes Recommendation: The Performing Arts Committee (PAC) approve the minutes of the June 15, 2022 meeting. Attachments: 2022-06-15 PAC Minutes DRAFT 4. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE PUBLIC This portion of the meeting is reserved for persons wishing to address the Committee on any matter not on the agenda. Speakers are limited to three minutes. State law prohibits the Committee from acting on non-agenda items. 5. UNFINISHED BUSINESS 6. NEW BUSINESS 6.1 AB 361 Resolution to Continue Remote Public Meetings During State of Emergency Recommendation: Adopt a resolution of the Performing Arts Committee of the City of Mountain View authorizing the continuation of virtual meetings pursuant to AB 361. Attachments: 2022-07-18 Memorandum Attachment 1 - Resolution 7. COMMITTEE/STAFF ANNOUNCEMENTS, UPDATES, REQUESTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS No action will be taken on questions raised by the Committee at this time. 8. ADJOURNMENT The next Performing Arts Committee meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at 6:15 p.m. in either the Atrium Conference Room, 500 Castro Street or via video conference with no physical location. City of Mountain View Page 2 Printed on 7/11/2022 Performing Arts Committee Agenda July 18, 2022 NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC: The specific location of each meeting is noted on the notice and agenda for each meeting which is posted at least 72 hours in advance of the meeting. Special meetings may be called as necessary by the Committee Chair and noticed at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting. Questions and comments regarding the agenda may be directed to Noelle Magner at 650-903-6552. Interested persons may review the agenda and staff reports at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts beginning the Friday before each regular meeting. Staff reports are also available during each meeting. Pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), if you need special assistance in this meeting, please contact the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts office at 650-903-6565. Notification of 48 hours prior to the meeting will enable the City to make reasonable arrangements to ensure accessibility to this meeting. (28 CFR 35.160 (b) (1)). The Committee may take action on any matter noticed herein in any manner deemed appropriate by the Committee. Their consideration of the matters noticed herein is not limited by the recommendations indicated herein. SPECIAL NOTICE: Any writings or documents provided to a majority of the Performing Arts Committee regarding any item on this agenda will be made available for public inspection in the Center for the Performing Arts office, located at 500 Castro Street, during normal business hours and at the meeting location noted on the agenda during the meeting. ADDRESSING THE COMMITTEE Interested persons are entitled to speak on any item on the agenda and should make their interest known to the Chair. Anyone wishing to address the Committee on a nonagenda item may do so during the “Oral Communications” part of the agenda. Speakers are allowed to speak one time on any number of topics for up to three minutes.
