Wednesday, September 21, 2022 6:15 PM Video Conference with No Physical Meeting Location
During this declared state of emergency, the meeting will be conducted in accordance
with California Government Code §54953(e) as authorized by resolution. Please contact
city.clerk@mountainview.gov to obtain a copy of the applicable resolution.
All members of the Performing Arts Committee will participate in the meeting by video
conference, with no physical meeting location.

Chair Donahue called the meeting to order at 6:18 p.m.

MOTION M/S Donahue/Kumar - To: approve the August 17, 2022 minutes.
The motion carried by the following vote:

5. NEW BUSINESS
5.1 Introduction of MVCPA's new Executive Director (Performing Arts
Manager), Theresa Yvonne
The newly selected Executive Director of the Mountain View Center for the Performing
Arts, Theresa Yvonne, introduced her self to the PAC and provided a brief overview of her
credentials and past work experience.
No action taken.
6. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
6.1 National Arts and Humanities Month October 2022
MOTION M/S Kumar/Donahue- To: approve the draft proclamation for the National Arts
and Humanities Month as the final draft to be sent to the City Council.
The motion carried by the following vote:
Yes: 3- Vice Chair Kumar, Committee Member Yao, and Chair Donahue
Excused: 1- Committee Member Au
Absent: 1- Committee Member McAlister
6.2 Mountain View Film Festival
Executive Director Theresa Yvonne reviewed the purpose and proper procedures for
holding an ad hoc Subcommittee meeting.
No action taken.
7. COMMITTEE/STAFF ANNOUNCEMENTS, UPDATES, REQUESTS AND COMMITTEE
REPORTS
Reminder the City of Mountain View's annual Celebration of Service will be held on
October 10, 2022 at Lucky's Place Shoreline Amphitheater starting at 5:30 p.m.
National Arts and Humanities Month is October. Please check out America for the Arts
website (https://www.americansforthearts.org/) for ways to celebrate the Arts.
Staff liaison, Noelle Magner, will send out the City Rosters to all PAC members. Please
review your personal information to ensure it is correct.
8. ADJOURNMENT
At 6:47 p.m., Chair Donahue adjourned the meeting to the next Performing Arts
Committee meeting to be held on October 19, 2022, remotely via video conference with
no physical location.

This portion of the meeting is reserved for persons wishing to address the Committee on any matter not
on the agenda. Speakers are limited to three minutes. State law prohibits the Committee from acting on

5. NEW BUSINESS
5.1 Introduction of MVCPA's new Executive Director (Performing Arts

Recommendation: Informational item only.
6. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
6.1 National Arts and Humanities Month October 2022
Recommendation: Provide comments on the Proclamation for National Arts and Humanities Month
celebrated in October.
Background: At the August 17, 2022 PAC meeting, PAC approved to recognize the
National Arts and Humanities Month celebrated in October.

6.2 Mountain View Film Festival
Recommendation: Discuss next steps for the Film Festival Subcommittee related to a proposed
workplan and support from City staff.
Background: At the August 2022 PAC meeting, PAC approved a Film Festival
Subcommittee who will investigate the potential for producing a film festival in 2023
and recommend action to PAC.
7. COMMITTEE/STAFF ANNOUNCEMENTS, UPDATES, REQUESTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS
No action will be taken on questions raised by the Committee at this time.

NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC:
The specific location of each meeting is noted on the notice and agenda for each meeting which is posted at least 72 hours in advance
of the meeting. Special meetings may be called as necessary by the Committee Chair and noticed at least 24 hours in advance of the
meeting.

Interested persons may review the agenda and staff reports at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts beginning the Friday
before each regular meeting. Staff reports are also available during each meeting.

Center for the Performing Arts office at 650-903-6565. Notification of 48 hours prior to the meeting will enable the City to make
reasonable arrangements to ensure accessibility to this meeting. (28 CFR 35.160 (b) (1)).
The Committee may take action on any matter noticed herein in any manner deemed appropriate by the Committee. Their consideration
of the matters noticed herein is not limited by the recommendations indicated herein.
SPECIAL NOTICE: Any writings or documents provided to a majority of the Performing Arts Committee regarding any item on this agenda
will be made available for public inspection in the Center for the Performing Arts office, located at 500 Castro Street, during normal
business hours and at the meeting location noted on the agenda during the meeting.
ADDRESSING THE COMMITTEE
Interested persons are entitled to speak on any item on the agenda and should make their interest known to the Chair.
Anyone wishing to address the Committee on a nonagenda item may do so during the “Oral Communications” part of the agenda.
Speakers are allowed to speak one time on any number of topics for up to three minutes.
Anyone requiring interpretation services will be afforded twice the allotted speaking time allowed for each specific item.
