MINUTES SPECIAL MEETING BOARD OF MAYOR AND BURGESSES MARCH 19, 2012 1. Mayor Robert A. Mezzo called the special meeting to order at 6:46 p.m. with the following in attendance: BURGESSES: RESIDENTS: T. K. Rossi L. Jackson None M. Bronko R. Neth, absent R. Burns R. San Angelo PRESS: M. Ciacciarella, absent P. Scully, Sr. R. DeRosa C. Ernsky DEPARTMENT HEADS: OTHERS: J. Stewart, Public Works Director Attorney E. Fitzpatrick J. Goggin, Tax Collector 2. Mayor Mezzo led in the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. 3. VOTED: Unanimously on a motion by Deputy Mayor Rossi and seconded by Burgess Bronko to recess to Executive Session at 6:46 p.m. for discussion on the following: Real Estate Negotiations inviting in Attorney E. Fitzpatrick and Public Works Director James Stewart. Mayor Mezzo reconvened the meeting at 6:56 p.m. 4. The following motion emanated from Executive Session. VOTED: Unanimously on a motion by Deputy Mayor Rossi and seconded by Burgess Scully that the Board of Mayor and Burgesses authorize the Mayor to execute a sales agreement and related documents to purchase approximately 146 acres off of Andrew Mountain Road for the purchase price of $750,000 payable without interest for $150,000 per year for five years. 5. VOTED: Unanimously on a motion by Deputy Mayor Rossi and seconded by Burgess Scully that the Board of Mayor and Burgesses authorize Controller Wayne McAllister to refund the following tax refund approved by Tax Collector James Goggin; as if read: Nofri, Mark and Julia $4,493.99 43 Fawn Meadow Drive Naugatuck, CT 06770 2010-03-71987 Overpaid Real 6. VOTED: Unanimously on a motion by Burgess Scully and seconded by Deputy Mayor Rossi to adjourn the special meeting at 6:58 p.m. A digital recording of this meeting is available in the office of the Borough Clerk for further review.
