MINUTES BOARD OF MAYOR AND BURGESSES SPECIAL MEETING SET THE MILL RATE – FISCAL YEAR 2012-2013 May 24, 2012 1. Mayor Robert A. Mezzo called the special meeting to order at 9:32 p.m. with the following in attendance: BURGESSES: RESIDENTS: T. K. Rossi L. Jackson None M. Bronko R. Neth R. Burns R. San Angelo PRESS: M. Ciacciarella P. Scully, Sr. L. Marshall C. Ernsky DEPARTMENT HEADS: OTHERS: W. McAllister, Controller D. Scinto, Finance Board D. Sheridan, Finance Board M. Katra, Finance Board 2. Mayor Mezzo led in the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. 3. Motion by Deputy Mayor Rossi and seconded by Burgess Neth that the tax rate for the fiscal year July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013 on the Borough of Naugatuck Grand List of October 1, 2011, as amended by the Board of Assessment Appeals, be and hereby is laid at 33.55 Mills on the Dollar, due and payable 50% July 1, 2012, 50% January 1, 2013 on real estate and personal property tax and that all motor vehicle taxes shall be due and payable July 1, 2012. All real estate and personal property tax bills $100.00 or less will be due and payable July 1, 2012. M. Ciacciarella opposed. 4. VOTED: Unanimously on a motion by Deputy Mayor Rossi and seconded by Burgess Scully that the special meeting be adjourned at 9:33 p.m. A digital recording of this meeting is available in the office of the Borough Clerk for further review.
