MINUTES SPECIAL MEETING BOARD OF MAYOR AND BURGESSES May 27, 2014 1. Mayor Robert A. Mezzo called the special meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. with the following in attendance: BURGESSES: RESIDENTS: T. K. Rossi R. Neth, absent None M. Bronko A. Olbrys R. Burns . P. Scully, Sr., arr. 5:35 p.m. PRESS: C. Ernsky, arr. 5:47 p.m. R. Vitale, arr. 5:35 p.m. None L. Jackson DEPARTMENT HEADS: OTHERS: R. Butler, Controller D. Sheridan, Finance Board J. Lawlor, Human Resources Director 2. Mayor Mezzo led in the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. 3. VOTED: Unanimously on a motion by Deputy Mayor Rossi and seconded by Burgess Burns to recess to Executive Session at 5:31 p.m. for discussion on the following: Collective Bargaining (AFSCME Public Works, UPSEU Clerical) inviting in Human Resources Director J. Lawlor and Controller R. Butler, Jr. Mayor Mezzo reconvened the meeting at 6:05 p.m. 4. The following motions emanated from Executive Session. Motion by Deputy Mayor Rossi and seconded by Burgess Scully that the Board of Mayor and Burgesses authorize Mayor Mezzo to maximize the number of retirees to eight under the AFSCME Early Retirement Incentive Package. C. Ernsky opposed. For the record: Mayor Mezzo: “This involves a slight amendment to a document that was approved a couple of weeks ago with the AFSCME Public Works Bargaining Unit.” Motion by Deputy Mayor Rossi and seconded by Burgess Scully that the Board of Mayor and Burgesses authorize Mayor Mezzo to enter into an Early Retirement Incentive Program and Separation Agreement Memorandum of Agreement May 16, 2014. C. Ernsky and L. Jackson opposed. 5. VOTED: Unanimously on a motion by Deputy Mayor Rossi and seconded by Burgess Scully to adjourn the meeting at 6:07 p.m. A digital recording of this meeting is available in the office of the Borough Clerk for further review.
