MINUTES BOARD OF MAYOR AND BURGESSES SPECIAL MEETING SET THE MILL RATE – FISCAL YEAR 2014-2015 May 29, 2014 1. Mayor Robert A. Mezzo called the special meeting to order at 10:22 p.m. with the following in attendance: BURGESSES: PRESS: T. K. Rossi R. Neth L. Marshall M. Bronko A. Olbrys P. Singley R. Burns . P. Scully, Sr., absent C. Ernsky R. Vitale DEPARTMENT HEADS: L. Jackson R. Butler, Controller OTHERS: D. Sheridan, Finance Board D. Scinto, Finance Board C. Montini, Asst. Superintendent BOE J. Jordan, Board of Education 2. Mayor Mezzo led in the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. 3. Motion by Deputy Mayor Rossi and seconded by Burgess Neth that the tax rate for the fiscal year July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2015 on the Borough of Naugatuck Grand List of October 1, 2013, as amended by the Board of Assessment Appeals, be and hereby is laid at 45.06 Mills on the Dollar, due and payable 50% July 1, 2014, 50% January 1, 2015 on real estate tax and personal property tax. All real estate and personal property tax bills $100.00 or less will be due and payable July 1, 2014. Motor vehicle taxes over $300.00 will be due and payable 50% July 1, 2014, 50% January 1, 2015. All motor vehicle tax bills $300.00 or less will be due and payable July 1, 2014. C. Ernsky and L. Jackson opposed. 4. VOTED: Unanimously on a motion by Deputy Mayor Rossi and seconded by Burgess Neth to adjourn the special meeting at 10:26 p.m. A digital recording of this meeting is available in the office of the Borough Clerk for further review.
