MINUTES SPECIAL MEETING BOARD OF MAYOR AND BURGESSES JUNE 9, 2015 1. Mayor Robert A. Mezzo called the special meeting to order at 6:05 p.m. with the following in attendance: BURGESSES: PRESS: T. K. Sheridan, Finance Board M. Katra, Republican Registrar K. Hanks, Fire Chief 2. Mayor Mezzo led in the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. 3. VOTED: Unanimously on a motion by Deputy Mayor Rossi and seconded by Burgess Scully that the Board of Mayor and Burgesses set Tuesday, July 7, 2015 between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. as the date and time for the 2015/2016 Budget Referendum, to be held at the Naugatuck Historical Society/Railroad Station, 195 Water Street, Naugatuck, CT 06770. 4. VOTED: Unanimously on a motion by Deputy Mayor Rossi and seconded by Burgess Scully that the Board of Mayor and Burgesses approve the following questions to appear on the 2015/2016 Budget Referendum Ballot: “Shall the Town Operating Budget of $53,761,879 for the Borough of Naugatuck for the fiscal year 2015/2016 be adopted? Yes No- Too High No- Too Low “Shall the Board of Education Budget of $62,026,871 for the Borough of Naugatuck for the fiscal year 2015/2016 be adopted? Yes No- Too High No- Too Low 5. Motion by Burgess that the Board of Mayor and Burgesses authorize the purchase of the Quality Data Software and associated hardware for the Assessor and Tax Departments out of the current budget through a transfer within the Reserve  -2- Minutes – Board of Mayor and Burgesses Special Meeting – June 9, 2015 Fund in the amount of $73,903.50 and authorize Mayor Robert Mezzo to execute all contracts and related documents as recommended by Controller Robert W. Butler, Jr. Motion tabled. 6. Motion by Burgess that the Board of Mayor and Burgesses authorize the purchase of the Munis Software and associated hardware for the Borough of Naugatuck and Board of Education out of the current budget through a transfer within the Reserve Fund in the amount of $157,183.50 and authorize Mayor Robert Mezzo to execute all contracts and related documents as recommended by Controller Robert W. Butler, Jr. Motion tabled. 7. Motion by Deputy Mayor Rossi and seconded by Burgess Scully that the Board of Mayor and Burgesses authorize Controller Robert W.
