MINUTES SPECIAL MEETING BOARD OF MAYOR AND BURGESSES JANUARY 17, 2019 1. Mayor “Pete” Hess called the special meeting to order at 6:32 p.m. with the following in attendance: BURGESSES: PRESS: L. Taf Jackson D. Hoff L. Marshall M. Bronko R. Neth R. Burns R. Vitale RESIDENTS: J. DeOliveira D. Wisniewski , absent None C. Herb DEPARTMENT HEADS: A. Bruce, Controller C. Tyler, Assessor 2. Burgess Burns led in the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. 3. VOTED: Unanimously on a motion by Deputy Mayor Taf Jackson and seconded by Burgess Neth that the Board of Mayor and Burgesses authorize Mayor N. Warren “Pete” Hess to execute all contracts and related documents with Pictometry International Corporation to contract for two flyovers, one in the fall of 2019 and another in the fall of 2022 as recommended by Assessor Carol Ann Tyler. 4. VOTED: Unanimously on a motion by Deputy Mayor Taf Jackson and seconded by Burgess Neth to recess to Executive Session at 6:45 p.m. for discussion on the following: Real Estate (0 Andrew Avenue, Creation and Location of Tax Incremental Financing District, 0 Alison Avenue) and Pending Litigation (Opioid Litigation). No one was invited into executive session. Mayor Hess reconvened the meeting at 7:52 p.m. 5. The following motions emanated from Executive Session. VOTED: Unanimously on a motion by Deputy Mayor Taf Jackson and seconded by Burgess Neth that the Board of Mayor and Burgesses authorize Mayor Hess to sign appropriate papers to sell real estate known as 0 Alison Avenue and designate it on the Assessor’s records as account #009-2401 for the purchase price of $39,900 as discussed in executive session. Motion by Deputy Mayor Taf Jackson and seconded by Burgess Neth that the Board of Mayor and Burgesses authorize Mayor Hess on behalf of the borough to submit an offer to purchase real estate at 0 Andrew Avenue, known as the Risdon property, consisting of approximately 11.9 acres as discussed in executive session. Burgess J. DeOliveira and Burgess D. Hoff opposed. -2- Minutes – Board of Mayor and Burgesses Special Meeting – January 17, 2019 6. VOTED: Unanimously on a motion by Deputy Mayor Taf Jackson and seconded by Burgess Bronko to adjourn the special meeting at 7:55 p.m. A digital recording of this meeting is available in the office of the Borough Clerk for further review.
