REGULAR MEETING OF TUESDAY, AUGUST 9, 2022
Budget Work Session
MISSION STATEMENT
The City of New Braunfels will add value to our community
by planning for the future, providing quality services, encouraging
community involvement and being responsive to those we serve.
AGENDA
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Brockman called the meeting to order at 4:32 p.m.
CALL OF ROLL: CITY SECRETARY
Mayor Rusty Brockman, Councilmember Campos, Councilmember
Willis, Mayor Pro Tem Bowers, Councilmember Spradley,
Councilmember Hurta, and Councilmember Blakey.
INVOCATION: COUNCILMEMBER HURTA
Councilmember Hurta provided the invocation.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE & SALUTE TO THE TEXAS FLAG
Mayor Brockman led the Pledge of Allegiance and the Salute to the
Texas Flag.
1. WORKSHOP
Discuss and consider possible action regarding the Fiscal Year 2023
Proposed Budget and Plan of Municipal Services and the proposed
2022 tax rate and announce public hearings.
Mr. Camareno began with an introduction providing a PowerPoint and
turned the presentation over to Jared Werner. Both Robert Camareno
and Jared Werner continued through the presentation and addressed
questions from Council.
Mayor Pro Tem Bowers announced the FY 2023 Proposed Budget
along with the 2022 Tax rate will be adoped on September 12, 2022 at a
meeting beginning at 6:00 p.m. at 550 Land Street, in the City Council
Chambers and moved to accept them. Councilmember Wills
seconded the motion which passed unanimously.

Mayor Brockman adjourned at 6:37 p.m.
