ADJOURNMENT  MEMO Prepared for: Public Works Committee Staff Contact: Erik Evenson Meeting: Public Works Committee - 15 Nov 2023 Subject: CTH K Trail Project Design Consultant Interviews BACKGROUND INFORMATION: In the Summer of 2023, the City was awarded Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) funding for the CTH K trail project. When completed, the trail will run parallel along CTH K from 140th Street to Prairie Road, approximately1.7 miles total. One of the first project milestones involves the selection of an engineering firm to design the trail facility and develop a detailed project schedule. In mid September, a Request for Statement of Qualifications was sent to a predetermined list of engineering firms developed by WisDOT. Following the September 29 due date, three proposals were distributed to the Selection Committee. The three firms including Snyder & Associates, MSA Professional Services, and SEH are scheduled to be interviewed by the Selection Committee at 2:00pm, 3:00pm, and 4:00pm, respectively. Selection Committee members will score interview responses and make a final recommendation following the interviews. The firm recommended by the Selection Committee will be forwarded to the Public Works Committee along with the WisDOT for approval prior to the contract negotiation process.
