VILLAGE OF NICHOLS -- Board Meeting May 14, 2024 Call to Order: by President Terry Scheller at 6:30 p.m., with Trustees Kathy Krull, Jerry Krull, Rebecca Gottsacker, and Mark Simpson present. Also present were Outagamie Cty. Sargent Ross, Roger Ort, Joy Goeben State Representative and RoseMary Stingle. Pledge: The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Outagamie Cty Police Report: Sargent Ross reviewed the progress of concerns discussed at the April meeting. Agenda: Motion by Terry/Rebecca to approve the agenda, carried. Minutes: Motion by Kathy/Jerry to approve the minutes of the April 9 Regular Meeting and the April 30 Board of Review Meeting, carried. Treasurer’s Report/Bank Statements: No motion to approve due to 2 receipts questioned and the transition between Quick Books and Workhorse programs. Motion made by Terry/Mark to approve Canceling Quick Books and consolidating Community First Credit Union bank accounts, carried. Bills to Approve/VISA statement: Motion by Rebecca/Mark to approve the bills paid on Village checks #19267-19288 and Water Utility checks #2738, carried. Black Creek Police / Municipal Court Reports: (None received)  The Clerk is to contact the village attorney on how to proceed with the Raze or Repair order first letter sent delivered by Officer L. James. Water & Sewer Report (Roger):  Meters: 72 meters have been replaced with the new Badger meters.  Roger doing sewer permits, new DNR permit will be good for 4 years.  Dumpster for community June 10 – 15 create and post flyer.  Resolution for CMAR (next agenda) Unfinished Business:  Local Road Improvement Program (LRIP): Grant for 50/50 Total $168,000 to be split around $84,000 we should get. Project to start next year. To be used by June 30, 2029.  (USDA grant): Completed balance of $139.06. New Business:  Flower pots to be put out in the village.  CFCU Perennial’s instead of lawn.  Application for Operator’s license: Travis Schroeder, Trevor Wendt, Rayne Vosters, Justin Stroik. Approved Trevor Wendt and Rayne Vosters. Others: contacting community lawyer.   Designate Authorized Credit Card holder: Due to the change in the Village Clerk/Treasurer position, motion was made and seconded by Kathy/Jerry to approve the removal of Linda Hoes and add RoseMary Stingle as an authorized credit card holder for Community First Credit Union. Effective 5/1/24, carried.  Bear Creek Clerk training hours were discussed.  Paint Pavilion bathrooms & fix cracks on exterior walls. Roger to get a quote on exterior walls and hire college student to paint bathrooms. Motioned by Terry/Kathy to approve, carried. ALL FUTURE BOARD MEETING WILL BEGIN AT 6:00 P.M.
