VILLAGE OF NICHOLS -- Board Meeting August 13, 2024 Call to Order: by President Terry Scheller at 6:00 p.m., with Trustees Jerry Krull, Rebecca Gottsacker, and Mark Simpson present. Also present were Roger Ort, and RoseMary Stingle. Pledge: The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Outagamie County Police: Not present Agenda: Motion by Mark to approve the agenda, second by Jerry, carried. Minutes: Motion by Terry to approve the minutes of the July 9 regular Meeting, second by Mark, carried. Treasurer’s Report/Bank Statements: Motion by Becky and second by Jerry, carried. Bills to Approve/VISA statement: Motion by Becky, second by Terry to approve the bills paid on Village checks #19353 - #19374, carried. Black Creek Police / Municipal Court Reports: (None received) Water & Sewer Report (Roger):  Burning brush pile this month  Letter for meter changed @ MHP  Water testing costs are increasing Unfinished Business:  Razing Order: Waiting to hear back for lawyer to implement  Hewitt water draining. Terry and Mark said both property owners need to install gutters on their buildings and parking lot adjusted by the owner. New Business:  Motion by Terry, second by Mark to increase wage for Chief Inspector and Poll workers, carried  Motion by Mark, second by Jerry to adda 1% interest on invoices per month.  Discussed outlay account and the LGIP for streets. Roger to get hard number quotes.  Historical display case getting quotes.
