VILLAGE OF NICHOLS -- Board Meeting September 10, 2024 Call to Order: by President Terry Scheller at 6:00 p.m., with Trustees Kathy Krull, Jerry Krull, Rebecca Gottsacker, and Mark Simpson present. Also present were Roger Ort, and RoseMary Stingle. Pledge: The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Outagamie County Police: Agenda: Motion by Terry to approve the agenda, second by Mark, carried. Minutes: Motion by Kathy to approve the minutes of the August 13 regular meeting, second by Jerry, carried. Treasurer’s Report/Bank Statements: Motion by, Becky, second by Mark, carried. Bills to Approve/VISA statement: Motion by Terry to approve the bills paid on Village checks #19378 - #19403, second by Mark, carried. Black Creek Police / Municipal Court Reports: (None received) Water & Sewer Report (Roger):  Discussed people putting garbage in brush pile not just brush. New signs to come.  Sanitary survey-Paper Mill needs inspection as well as the 2 taverns. Picture of top of water tower.  Recommended new scale for chemical usage. Unfinished Business:  Razing Order: Order is being implemented and will be charged to 2024 taxes for property owner. New Business:  Create a new project for street improvements. Reviewed quote and discussed best option to utilize all funds in the grant. Terry will continue to communicate with LRIP.  Disposal of tires pick up Tuesday, September 17. Place on curb by 8:00 a.m.  Review of Historical display case proposal to build in existing closet. Accepted.  NO leaves or grass clippings in the road! Haul to the WWTP.
