VILLAGE OF NICHOLS -- Board Meeting December 10, 2024 Call to Order: by President Terry Scheller at 6:00 p.m., with Trustees Kathy Krull, Jerry Krull, Rebecca Gottsacker, and Mark Simpson present. Also present were Roger Ort, RoseMary Stingle, and Ashley Lehocky. Pledge: The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Outagamie County Police: (none) Agenda: Motion by Mark to approve the agenda, second by Jerry, carried. Minutes: Motion by Kathy to approve the minutes of the November 12, 2024, regular meeting and Budget meeting, second by Becky, carried. Treasurer’s Report/Bank Statements: Motion by Mark, second by Jerry, carried. Bills to Approve/VISA statement: Motion by Kathy to approve the bills paid on Village checks #19458 - #19495, second by Becky, carried. Black Creek Police / Municipal Court Reports: (None received) Water & Sewer Report (Roger):  DNR toxicity test this week. Chemicals were adjusted to correct failed test and are successful.  1 meter to change before all Midwest Meters are completed.  Will keep 3 meters on hand for backup.  3” meter on NRFD add an endpoint Unfinished Business:  Razing Order: Completed will be billed this week.  LRIP Project: 365 feet curb, roughly $130.00 a foot for road project. Out for bids this winter.  Adopted New Building inspector contract signed. Motion to accept Kathy/Mark carried. New Business:  Overdose kits, idea is being brought to the NRFD.  Sewer Rate increase effective January 1, 2025, from $1.00 per 1000 gallons to $5.00 per 1000 gallons. Motion by Kathy, second by Mark, carried 1 opposed by Becky.  Interest will be added to invoices after 30 days of 1% until paid. Motion by Mark, seconded by Jerry, carried. Motion by Kathy/Mark to convene to Closed Session pursuant to 19.85 (1) (c): “employment, promotion, compensation.”, carried. Motion by Jerry/Terry to reconvene to Open Meeting, carried. Motion by Jerry/Mark to approve the 2025 wages, carried.
