City of Norman Bicycle Advisory Committee Minutes for April, 2021 Meeting, 6:15 PM Virtual Meeting via Zoom • Roll Call of Members and Introduction of Visitors  Present are Lee Krumholz, Hal Cantwell, George Ahmadi, Jordan Evans, Thomas Zermeno, David Riesland, James Briggs, Olga Caulfield, Natalie Rocher. Micah Snyder, Krystin Richardson. • Approval of March. Meeting Minutes. Approved at 6:17 PM. City of Norman Updates:  James Briggs reported on map. James introduced changes to the bike map. Still changes needed. Library icon needs words to indicate a repair station. 26th north of robinson should be 24th. Creekside park symbol in the wrong place. Rural inset map 2 portions don’t coincide with the big map. Color of the lines is not correct. 24th Ave. Main st. Line is off and main st. should not be an advanced bike route. Remove upper Crestmont. Put cherry creek and willow branch back on. 24th to 48th on Highway 9 should be blue. 36th Ave., NW between Rock Creek and Tecumseh should be blue. Iowa to show on the road between Sherry and Berry.   David Riesland report. David discussed the comprehensive transportation plan adopted in 2014. He discussed the fact that the plan is used by himself and the city to determine the next steps in transportation implementation. BAC members should be familiar with the plan. He then read through relevant parts of the report.  Nathalie raised the issue of the lack of sidewalks on Boyd and there was some discussion of that.  Thomas Zermeno, Norman PD. Campus Corner is getting busier. Medieval Fair went well. Police Academy will be happening. New officers mobilized in 6 months.  Jordan Evans. May is bike month. May 21. Bike to Work Day. Will leave from MCS swim complex, Griffin Dog park and Westwood park. Thomas is trying to get some people from the police involved. ACOG takes the role in regional efforts. ACOG will do the bike to Work Day events and flyers. ACOG is doing a scavenger hunt in  Bike counts will be done Thursday and Saturdays. Hal will get the information out.  Bike month, ACOG will have a scavenger hunt for the month of May. Social media and a raffle. May 8 will be a bike show in OKC 9-12. Next meeting will be May 10th. • Adjournment. At 7:31.
