Community Development Block Grant Policy Committee Meeting

CITY OF NORMAN COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM The CDBG Neighborhood Meeting of the City of Norman, Cleveland County, State of Oklahoma, met for the Neighborhood Meeting on February 12, 2020, at 6:00 p.m. Notice and Agenda of the meeting were posted at the Norman Municipal Building and at www.Normanok.gov twenty-four hours prior to the beginning of the meeting. Heidi Smith, Co-Chair called the meeting to order at 6:05pm. Item No. 1, being: Introductions. Members: Andrea Marler Kyle Langford Jayne Crumply Steven Cavallo Linn Blohm Kendel Posey David John Karen Canavan Cindy Gordon Heidi Smith Ellen Frank Kamala Jolly Stewart City Staff: Lisa Krieg Tara Reynolds Item No. 2, being: Approval of the Agenda Motion by Karen Canavan to approve; Second by Kyle Langford. All approve. Item No. 3 being: Approval of the minutes from the January 22, 2020 meeting Motion by Jayne Crumply to approve; Second by David John. All approve. Item No. 4 being: Overview of Affordable Housing efforts and the HOME investment Partnerships Program/CHDO Activities. Lisa Krieg presented about affordable housing, the City’s efforts to provide it, and answered any questions regarding gaps and ways to provide affordable housing. The presentation slides are attached. Item No. 5 being: Announcements Norman Housing Authority has 60 mainstream vouchers for disabled housing. CDBG is partnering with OU School of Social Work to survey the target neighborhoods. The RFP is out for the tree planting projects. Item No. 7 being: Adjournment The meeting adjourned at 7:30p.m.
