Community Development Block Grant Policy Committee Meeting

CITY OF NORMAN COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM The CDBG Neighborhood Meeting of the City of Norman, Cleveland County, State of Oklahoma, met for the Neighborhood Meeting on February 19, 2020, at 6:00 p.m. Notice and Agenda of the meeting were posted at the Norman Municipal Building and at www.Normanok.gov twenty-four hours prior to the beginning of the meeting. Heidi Smith, Co-Chair called the meeting to order at 6:01pm. Item No. 1, being: Introductions. Members: Heidi Smith Ellen Frank Karen Canavan Kendel Posey David John Steven Cavallo Michelle Statham Andrea Marler Jayne Crumply City Staff: Lisa Krieg Tara Reynolds James Heath Item No. 2, being: Approval of the Agenda Motion by David John to approve; Second by Karen Canavan. All approve. Item No. 3 being: Approval of the minutes from the February 12, 2020 meeting Motion by Kendel Posey to approve; Second by David John. All approve. Item No. 4 being: Overview of the Housing Rehabilitation Programs and proposed changes Lisa Krieg presented about the rehabilitation programs offered by the City. The presentation slides are attached. Some changes proposed are:  Raising the threshold from $6,000 to $8,000 for renters  No longer adding people to comprehensive rehab list, but focusing on the emergency repairs, accessibility modifications, and exterior property maintenance. Item No. 5 being: Announcements We have received our allocation numbers for both CDBG and HOME. Since we have those numbers we would like to be included in the preliminary City budget, which would require moving the April 1 meeting to March 25 due to scheduling. We have updated the Citizen Participation plan, and that will have a 30 day posted notice for the public. Item No. 7 being: Adjournment The meeting adjourned at 7:05p.m.
