NORMAN ELECTION COMMISSION MINUTES VIRTUAL MEETING HOSTED AT MUNICIPAL BUILDING COUNCIL CHAMBERS June 29, 2020 The Norman Election Commission of the City of Norman, Cleveland County, Oklahoma, met in a virtual meeting at the Municipal Building Council Chambers at 201 West Gray on the 29th day of June, 2020, at 3:00 p.m. Notice and agenda of the meeting were posted at the Municipal Building 24 hours prior to the beginning of the meeting. MEMBERS PRESENT: Michael Morehead Elizabeth Pierce Jane Purcell Amelia Torres Chairman Ty Hardiman MEMBERS ABSENT None OTHERS PRESENT: Brenda Hall, City Clerk Item 2. Consideration of approval of the Norman Election Commission minutes of February 4, 2020. Member Purcell moved that the Norman Election Commission minutes of February 4, 2020, be approved, which motion was duly seconded by Member Torres; Items submitted for the record 1. Municipal Candidate Committee Contributions and Expenditures Partial First Quarter Report for David Perry for Ward 2 2020, filed April 28, 2020 and the question being upon accepting the Municipal Campaign Contributions and Expenditures Partial Fourth Quarter Report for David Perry for Ward 2 2020, a vote was taken with the following result: YEAS: Members Morehead, Pierce, Purcell, Torres, and Chairman Hardiman NAYES: None The Chairman declared the motion carried and the Municipal Campaign Contributions and Expenditures Partial First Quarter Report for David Perry for Ward 2 2020 was accepted. The City Clerk will make contact with the Treasurer to get the occupations for Margaret Phillips and Greg Heiple. No additional review required. * Item 3, continued: The Community for Matthew Salcido 2020 Member Purcell moved that the Municipal Campaign Contributions and Expenditures Partial First Quarter Report for The Community for Matthew Salcido 2020 be accepted, which motion was duly seconded by Member Pierce; Items submitted for the record 1. Municipal Candidate Committee Contributions and Expenditures Partial First Quarter Report for The Community for Matthew Salcido 2020, filed April 30, 2020 and the question being upon accepting the Municipal Campaign Contributions and Expenditures Partial First Quarter Report for The Community for Matthew Salcido 2020, a vote was taken with the following result: YEAS: None NAYES: Members Morehead, Pierce, Purcell, Torres, and Chairman Hardiman The Chairman declared the motion failed and the Municipal Campaign Contributions and Expenditures Partial First Quarter Report for The Community for Matthew Salcido 2020 was not accepted. The City Clerk will make contact with the Treasurer to amend report – Schedule A does not support the contribution amount listed on the summary. An amended report will be required. * Norman Election Commission June 29, 2020 Page 4 Item 3, continued: Alison Petrone for Ward 3 2019 Member Pierce moved that the Amended Municipal Campaign Contributions and Expenditures First Quarter Report for Alison Petrone for Ward 3 2019 be accepted, which motion was duly seconded by Member Purcell; Items submitted for the record 1. The City Clerk will make contact with the Candidate to amend report – Schedule E does not support the expenditure amount listed on the summary.
