Greeneville NRZ July 3, 2024 Greeneville Fire House-444 North Main St., Norwich, Ct. Guest: Mark Bettencourt, Norwich City Council member-Provided update on Greeneville School Project. Call to Order of Regular Meeting: 6:30 p.m. Attendees: Committee members-Peter Procko, Nancy Procko, Kathleen Strenkowski, Henry Fidrych, Thomas Yorz. Members of the community- Stephanie Gwozdz, John Williams, Judith Post. Approval of Minutes: Motion made by John Williams and second by Thomas Yorz to accept the June 5, 2024 minutes. Motion voted on and passed. Note: The May 1, 2024 minutes were approved at the June 5, 2024 meeting. Motion made by Henry Fidrych and second by Nancy Procko. Motion voted on and passed. This was inadvertently omitted from the June 5, 2024 minutes. Old Business: Fire hydrant painting-Judging and presentation of awards on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at the Greeneville Playground. 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Twelve hydrants were painted. Total income generated was $490.00. New Business: Thomas Yorz is now a voting committee member of the Greeneville NRZ. Congratulations to Tommy! Message Board-The message board at the Greeneville Playground is in need of repair. Approximate cost is $1000.00 to make repairs. Capehart- City of Norwich has received $4M in grant money to begin clean up of this area. Mural-Mural on North Main St. is almost complete. Gift Certificate of Appreciation-Motion made by Peter Proko to present a $250.00 gift certificate from Manny's Restaurant to the Greeneville Fire House fire fighters. Second by John Williams. Motion voted on and passed. Sidewalk paintings-To be discussed further at the next meeting. Open Forum: Open discussion of various topics.
