MINUTES OF THE OCTOBER 16, 2019 REGULAR MEETING OF THE ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW BOARD (ARB) Nyack Village Hall 9 N. Broadway Nyack, New York Call to Order: 7:01pm Present: Maren Robertson, Acting Chairperson; Members: Rothschild, Watanabe, and Holley; Donald Yacopino, Chief Building Inspector Absent: Maggie McManus, Chairperson Application(s) Taken Out of Order Of Agenda due to Applicant’s Reported Flat Tire: (1) Application: 188 Main Street, Application to construct an addition. Building Inspector Review: Inspector Yacopino is unable to confirm at this time that proposal meets zoning requirements for lack of complete information. Completed ARB checklist allows ARB to review application. Board Review Based Upon: The application, Building Inspector Review, Testimony of applicant/representative, Francesca Bozorgomid, ARB members’ site visit/knowledge of site, consideration of public comment, if any. Board Findings: Public Comment: no public present.  Motion by Member Rothschild to accept the application as submitted, exterior to be Hardie Plank as proposed and color indicated by applicant to be “Evening Blue” and a new three-windowed apartment door in deep red; all new windows above first floor to be double-hung and first floor windows on Main Street to be picture windows; the following clarifications are to be provided via email to the Building Department by the applicant: drawing showing an accurate front elevation and description of doors and trim to be on Main Street -- one door leading to the business and the other to an apartment.; seconded by Acting Chair Robertson, by vote of: 4-0 to approve. (2) Application: 95 Main Street, application for a parallel sign. Building Inspector Review: Proposal complies with zoning requirements. Board Review Based Upon: The application, Building Inspector Review, Testimony of applicant/representative, Michael Yagudaen, ARB members’ site visit/knowledge of site, consideration of public comment, if any. Board Findings: Public Comment: no public present. Motion by Member Holley to accept the application as submitted with the following clarifications to be provided via email to the Building Department by the applicant: drawing showing mounting instructions and procedure; Board further requested that sign be in matte finish to which applicant agrees; Board further requested that applicant request that landlord continue and finish moulding above sign to which applicant agrees; seconded by Acting Chair Robertson, by vote of: 4-0 to approve.
