Big Red Books. Application for signage. Application presented by: Richard Fuko, Applicant. Board discussion: The applicant proposed a window sign in existing store front window. Public Comment: None Opened on motion by member O’Neill, 2nd member Lanzetta. Closed on motion by member O’Neill, 2nd member Buckley. Approved by vote 4-0 Conclusion: Approve the application as presented. Motion by member Lanzetta, 2nd by member O’Neill. Approved by 4-0 vote. 2. 18 S Franklin Street. Mimi’s Inesita 2. Application for signage. Application presented by: Jessica Rodriguez, Applicant. Board discussion: The board discussed the signs size that exceeds the allowable square footage of 36SF. The board requested the applicant to reduce the size of the sign to under 36 SF by eliminating the neon sign, menu display and drink display to just having the logo of Mimi Inesita 2 be displayed on the window and door of the restaurant. Architectural Review Board July 19, 2023 Minutes pg. 2 Public Comment: Opened on motion by member O’Neill, 2nd member Buckley. Tatiana Rodsienko from the public suggested that the applicant put the menu and drink displays on a freestanding sign that can be displayed on the sidewalk during business hours and removed during non-business hours. Closed on motion by member O’Neill, 2nd member Lanzetta. Approved by vote 4-0 Conclusion: The board did not accept application as presented. The board approved the application for just the logos of Mimi Inesita 2 on the window and door to keep the signage under 36SF by eliminating the menu display, drink display and neon sign. Motion by member Buckley, 2nd by member O’Neill. Approved by 4-0 vote. 3. 31 Laveta Place. Justine Girard. Application to enclose west side of front porch. Application presented by: Justine Girard and Steve Doyle, Resident and neighbor. Board discussion: Porch is already in place and application has a stop work order. The board proposed to reduce the size of the front façade of the porch and align it with the existing house. The enclosed portion of the porch will not be heated. Public Comment: None Opened on motion by member O’Neill, 2nd member Buckley. Closed on motion by member O’Neill, 2nd member Buckley. Approved by vote 4-0 Conclusion: The board made a motion to keep the application open to the next ARB meeting in September to have the applicant revise the design of the porch. 4. 225 High Ave. Tatiana & Anna Rodzianko. Application for siding. Application presented by: Tatiana Rodzianko, Owner of property. Architectural Review Board July 19, 2023 Minutes pg. 3 Board discussion: The board made a recommendation to change the siding to double 5” vinyl siding instead of the double 4” presented. Public Comment: None Opened on motion by member O’Neill, no public present. Conclusion: The board approved the application as presented with a recommendation to change the siding to a double 5” vinyl siding. Motion to close the public hearing by member O’Neill, seconded by member Adler, vote 4-0. 5. 90 North Broadway. Robin Scheuer. Application to amend previous ARB approval. Application presented by: Walter Aurel, Architect. Board discussion: The board discussed the changes to the original design by relocating the exterior door. Public Comment: None Opened public hearing on motion by member O’Neill Conclusion: The board accepts the application as presented. Motion by member O’Neill, 2nd by member Lanzetta.
